Haim are back…and celebrating singlehood!!

Pop/Rock trio sister band Haim have re-entered the music-sphere once again with their new single “Relationships” – a fresh, bold song celebrating a new era of singlehood. It is the lead single from their forthcoming album I Quit

Produced by Danielle Haim, and Rostam Batmanglij, the track introduces a blend of pop, R & B, and funk. Lyrically, it’s catchy (I keep singing the chorus over and over again!) and captures the complexities of desiring love but not wanting a relationship. It is the soundtrack of warm summer evenings, windows rolled down and surrounded by close friends. “Relationships” feels spontaneous and mesmerising, and it is sure to be a hit song this summer!

The band recently went viral online, with Alana, Estee, and Danielle’s energetic lip syncing and dancing to the song on TikTok. They also marked the new era with three Instagram posts from each sister, declaring their relationship statuses: “Single”, “I’m taken”, and “I’m ???”.

Haim have always been forthcoming in their lyrics, and their captivating voices have made them prolific figures in the music industry

In an interview with W Magazine, they shared that it took them seven years to perfect “Relationships”, constantly going back and forth with the lyrics and whether they even liked the song or not. Their love/hate feeling about it resembles an actual relationship!

Haim last performed in 2023, when they opened for Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ in the U.S. They recently debuted “Relationships” at The Bellwether in LA!

Here are some of the standout lyrics from “Relationships”!

Why do I have a guilty conscience?

I've always been averse to conflict

But you really fucked with my confidence

(Goes like, goes like, goes like)

You gotta tell me the truth

If you don't want to try (goes, goes like, goes like)

I hear a voice in my head

And it keeps asking, "Why am I in this relationship?"

Baby, how can I explain when an innocent mistake

Turns into 17 days fuckin' relationships?

Don't they end up all the same

When there's no one left to blame?

I think I'm in love, but I can't stand fuckin' relationships (goes, goes like, goes like)

Haim’s new album, I Quit is set to be released on June 20 2025.
